If you are considering signing-up to serve at the soup kitchen for homeless and low-income adults, I am sure you will find this a rewarding discipleship opportunity. The reality of homelessness and poverty in our own community is quite sobering and our faith teaches us to help when and where we can. Where possible, share your faith story with the individuals you interact with, listen to their story--give company as well as food.

Below you will find a map with directions to St. Vincent’s and a parking pass.  You will also find two permission slips, one for St. Vincent’s and one for the parish, a volunteer policies page, a “How Food Handlers Can Contaminate Food” page, and the food handler certificate quiz.  Please read all of these documents.  In order to register for the St. Vincent’s trip, you will need to fill out both permission slips as well as fully fill out the food handler certificate quiz.  Once you have done so you may turn them into the youth ministry office or the faith formation office.  Registrations for all trips are due two weeks ahead of time.  This is so that we can arrange car pools.

In order to attend the St. Vincent’s trip, you will need to complete all documents as well as fully fill out the food handler certificate quiz. Once you have done so, please bring them with you to the church. You will find a map with Summary of required documents:

There is a dress code: all participants must wear long pants and closed toe shoes regardless of the weather.
