Favorite scripture and why: Psalm 139 because I had to read it for my penance at the Camp Emmaus Reconciliation and it really described everything I was feeling and how much I needed God.
Favorite part of Core Team: Getting to see everyone and the sense of community that you feel as part of the team.
What does your faith mean to you: My faith is an extremely important part of my life and it has helped me overcome many obstacles, including ones that I would never have been able to get through otherwise. It keeps me centered and I always have someone to turn to when life becomes too much to handle.
Most influential person in your faith: The most influential person in my faith would be my Confirmation sponsor, Emmeline Nazal because she has known me since I was 4 years old and was my Sunday school teacher when I was 6. She always spoke so highly of youth ministry and I really wanted to get involved after hearing about all the great things she had done. She is like the big sister I never had because she is both a friend and mentor.
If you could ask God one question, what would it be: I would ask God what He intends for me to do with my life. College applications are being turned in and all of the colleges want to know what you want to do with your life. It has become quite overwhelming, but I know that God has a plan for me and will guide me so that I do something good for Him.
If you could leave a message to the high school students after you, what would it be: It would be to never doubt that God loves you and that anytime you need a friend or someone to talk to, He is always there. He is the best friend you could ever ask for because He does not judge you and always listens and will help you no matter what problems you are facing. Also, know that all of us on the Core Team and all the junior facilitators love each and every one of you and we are always available if you need someone to talk to!
