Here are a list of good Catholic websites found and commented by Elisa Halper.
Check them out!

  • http://www.americancatholic.org  -  My favorite parts of this site are the "Saint of the Day" feature (I find those very interesting to read and it only takes a minute) and the "Minute Meditations" feature (which is inspirational and also a very quick read).  They are both daily features.  You can subscribe to have both of those e-mailed to you.

  • http://www.catholiccompany.com/  -  This is a store.  It has the DVD about the priesthood that we saw at leadership camp!  But it also has great items that every Catholic would love...  And they'd make great presents.

  • http://www.diocese-sdiego.org/  -  This is the website for the Diocese of San Diego.  It's where I found the black and white pictures of Father Michael and Father Richard.  It's just an interesting place to learn about what's going on in our Diocese.

  • http://www.disciplesnow.com/  -  This is my favorite site ever.  I can spend tons of time on this site, and it's where I found a lot of the other websites that I listed on here.  This is the best one for the people that will go to our site because it's aimed specifically at Catholic teens...  Which is where we are aiming at as well!

  • http://www.magnificat.net/  -  This is the website where people can subscribe to a monthly worship aid.  It would be great for people who don't want to spend a lot of time on the Internet/computer because it is a hard-copy booklet that is mailed to you.

  • http://rosary.virtualave.net/  -  This is the virtual rosary page.  The different mysteries are separated into clickable links...  It's really easy for people to go on every day and pray for that day.  It also has little check boxes so if you don't have a rosary with you (like if you are on a lap top, on vacation and you didn't bring a rosary), you can still pray and keep track of your prayers...  You can also pray on the interactive area on the home page.

  • http://relevantmagazine.com/  -  This is the website for a great magazine that is aimed at young Christians.  I am personally subscribed to it, so I can tell you that it is perfect for the youth who would be going to our website.  The website has many articles to read and also has a great store with books, apparel, etc.

  • http://www.thepunkpriest.com/  -  This is the website for one of the priests who answers questions on DisciplesNow.com... He's really cool and proves that Catholics (including priests!) can still live a "normal" life...  It has great links to articles and he (Father Bob) promotes a lot of great (punk rock-ish) modern music...

  • http://www.usccb.org/  -  This is the website for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops...  I use this site for the daily mass readings...  It has the Bible on the Internet!

  • http://www.spiritandsong.com  -  A good place to look up your favorite christian artist and to sample thier music.

  • http://www.nfcym.org  -  This is the National Federation of Catholic Youth Ministry's Webpage. The 2008 National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM) which will be held December 4-7 in Cleveland.

  • http://www.cornerstonemedia.org  -  Want to know what songs you shouldn't be listening to? Then head over here to check out the "Dirty Dozen"

  • http://www.klove.com  -  Didn't know San Diego had a Christian radio station? Well tune in to FM 100.1 or click here to listen on-line. K-Love uses contemporary Christian music to spread the Gospel. You can even look up lyrics to a song you heard or make prayer requests for loved ones.

  • http://www.faithfulcitizenship.org  -  Learn what it means to be a faithful citizen.

  • http://www.protectmarriage.com  -  Be informed about Proposition 8 and protect marriage between a man and woman.
